Dodge Drops Hints About Power Numbers for SRT Demon
Beneath the streets of Auburn Hills, a demon lurks. And no, we’re not talking about the SRT Hellcat, which has been impressing drivers and reviewers since it was launched in 2015 with its 707 horsepower and endless fun factor. We’re talking about another version of the Challenger—the SRT Demon—which has been teased since early January and is but a few short weeks from its unveiling.
Billed a “quarter mile killer” by the likes of Dodge brand head Tim Kuniskis, the SRT Demon is 200 lbs. lighter than the Hellcat, while sporting special brakes, torque management hardware (and software), unique air intakes, and more. But what we really wanted to learn from the eight weeks of teasers is how powerful it is. Well, good news, friends. The teaser video above points us toward a car making north of 750 horsepower.
Take a look at the video above to learn more about the SRT Demon’s performance stats. If you’re looking to learn more about the new Dodge models we have on tap, contact our Jefferson City, MO location at your convenience.
